Hello! Summer is upon us once again and it is about time for a fresh installment of the Even Paw.
There has been a lot of activity here at Bear Trail over the past six months and first we would like to thank all our members
and volunteers who came out for our Member Maintenence Day this March. As always, we appreciate when members step
forward to support our staff and help us keep Bear Trail beautiful.

There have been a lot of changes over the past six months as well. We continue to keep the scheduled events page up to
date, so please continue to check it out to see what we have planned.

The Member/Guest has been rescheduled for the fall so have your feelers out and get your friends interested! I hope with
the lovely summer weather everyone is pumped up for our annual Club Championship which will take place June 26th and
27th (last day to sign up is June 21st). Doug Lisle, Billy Elston, Annette Schmits and Forest Thomas--- will be defending their
titles, and their parking spaces. Will they maintain their reign or fall victim to a new Champion?

We still have our Match-Play coming up and even though we have cancelled the Firecracker Classic for this year, we are still
looking to have our annual Luau with cross-country golf towards the end of July.

While welcoming the summer season, we unfortunately had to say "See you later" to our beloved Head Starter/Marshall Ron
Dougherty. He and his wife have moved on to the warmer (and dryer!) climate of the Southwest and Robert Mills has stepped
up to take his place. There will also be a few new staff faces this summer and we invite you all to introduce yourselves and
welcome them to the atmosphere of our community.

A few odds and ends:
Congratulations to Rob Font on his Hole-In-One on hole #12. He is our first to win the hole in one prize fund. The second
fund is getting up there...will you be next?
Don't forget about our Bear Trail Scholarship Fund. The proceeds will be awarded to a child/young adult of a Bear Trail
member or a "student employee" who will be attending college in the fall. What are we asking of you? Very simply, each time
you play a round of golf, just let the pro shop staff know you want to donate to the scholarship fund. Let's help keep our kids
educated!
Finally, thank you to all our members and volunteers for all your continued support of our course. Also, thank you to our
amazing "Green Team" of Grant, Ryan, and the maintenance staff for keeping the course in great shape.
